My Lumber Jack man decided that our view was too obstructed and our house was too covered, so he took matters into his own hands.....literally....

Both Kami and Chase planted these Marigolds from seed. This is the little girl statue that Chase used to walk up to when he was 1.5 - 2 years old and talk to her. It was his girlfriend!

We liked more of the clean look. We did plant another tree in the back forest to replace the one we chopped. I should also add one more thing as the snow plows are going by, I am catching up. This is in June, it is now December!!!!!

Why am I posting June pictures in November??? I am still trying to catch up!! Slowly but surely, so excuse the un-organization while I catch myself up!! Otherwise, it will drive me crazy!!
Kami had yet again another successful year. I am so proud of her, especially her love for learning and doing her best!! I never have to push her to get her homework done or srudy for a test....cleaning her room...that's another story, but one day....she'll appreciate a clean room!! But until then Kami, way to go, we are so proud of you!!

Back in the Saddle Again!

Kami has been taking horseback riding lessons for @ 2 years now (seasonal). She absolutely loves it. The drive to the ranch is in Vermont is Breathtaking! Chase and Christian play outside while Grandma and I watch Kami. We've tried to get Chase on a horse, but that was not going to happen - ever- according to Chase!! We'll try again next year!!

We also meet up with one of Grandma Sue's student of the deaf. Her name is Tessa and she absolutely loves riding as well! Thanks Grandma!!

Ashley and Nathan went to our neighborhood Halloween Party and realized that we were the only adults not dressed up. So in a crazy attempt to do something, Ashley had a brilliant idea.....we will be "facebook" girls. The ironic thing about this is I am probably only of 10 people in the United States that doesn't have facebook!! Next year, I'll do something fun, I promise!!

Kami is now taking violin lessons along with her piano. She loves it and I love it that she loves it!

We had so much fun carving pumpkins! Mine is the small one losing it's cookies! My original thought was to put a sign on the top of it and say "Swine Flu" but no one would let me.

I think the best part of carving pumpkins is roasting all of the seeds when you are done. And actually, we had them for breakfast the next day!! Yum Yum!

We Can Fly!

Yes, we have discovered that we can fly, however some are still learning to use their wings....

Kami and I were a little bit nervous about the landing. We always ended up putting our foot down before we "landed"

Walker was a little better....

Aunt Ashley and Uncle Nathan were pros. They must have been practicing for a very long time.
The were doing flips, twists, cannon balls, you name it. We had a blast! It is always fun to have family here, especially young energetic ones who teach us to fly!

Chase's Last Day of School!!

We are sooooo proud of Chase!! He completed his first year of Kindergarten at Chango Elementary School. He went 2 full days and 3 half days, so the transition into full day 1st grade has been a breeze!! Congrats Chase on a great year and thank you for letting mommy volunteer in your classroom ....(he always told me that I was not allowed to come to his class, but I never listened! I was always there!!)

I remember thinking like 20 years ago that 30 was old. A mom with 3 kids was old.....and now I am that.....but I don't think that I am old!! I feel younger every year!! I just wonder how ancient Kami thinks I am!!!

Christian and Kami's little fingers are testing the frosting......just to make sure it's not poisonous. While Walker and I went on a date, Grandma and the kids made a wonderful birthday cake!!

When we got to Grandma's to drop off the kids, I get a phonecall from one of my girlfriends wishing me a happy birthday. While on the phonecall, I have another friend calling to wish me a happy birthday....coincidence? I think not, within 25 minutes from the first phone call, I received @ 30 calls from friends all over the country....my friends and Walker's friends!! I even received a phone call from Santa asking me if I've been a good girl??!!
It was definitely a fun day with many, many surprises!! If only it could be my birthday everyday.....then I'd really be ancient!

Red Sox vs. Yankees

Walker and Chase went down for some father and son bonding to Boston to see the Yankees and the Red Sox. I cant remember who came home happy and who came sad, but regardless, they had a really good time!

Walker only eats hotdogs at Baseball games. I guess that is a tradition that he started a long time ago. It looks like it is being passed down to Chase!

Christian is the goofiest kid ever!! He always makes one of 2 faces, either the "scowl" that I have already posted or this look, whatever you want to call it, where he pushed his chin back and stares!! It is the funniest thing! I love it!!

I only thought it was fair and considerate of me as a loving, thoughtful, dedicated wife to get my husband some Nike+ running shoes so he can distance all of his runs. With his drive and COMPETITIVE spirit, he is going to TRY and outrun my time and distance with my half marathon. I thought I'd give him a running start with some good shoes. Although, I must keep my guard up, he as already done some tricky, sly things when we run. For instance, I run 6.5 miles on a given Saturday, he then goes after me and runs 6.7, he is a stinker. I love my hubby and wouldn't change him for the world......unless he outruns me. Then we will have issues!!

We are alive and kickin'!!! We have not disappeared off the face of the earth. Between a very busy summer, and a crazy obsession with vampires (yes, I jumped on the bandwagon and read the twilight series...couldn't put them down....every spare second I got my nose was buried in the books!! We'll see how I do with aliens (the host)).

I hope to now catch up on my BLOG which may take a while, I believe I am back in June so lots to do!!!

Go Boston!!! We are still feuding Yankees vs Red Sox, notice in this pix, Walker and Christian do not have any Red Sox stuff!! I am indifferent, but I do have to support my son Chase!! So as for now, Go Red Sox!!

Wrong Blog Name

In previous posts, I have talked about my children and their sleeping habits. No one is ever in their bed...except for Walker and I. I believe there is not a more reoccuring theme in my blog as my children and their sleep. I looked over at Christian who 20 seconds earlier was eating, and he was not there. I looked closer and found him fast asleep. Good Night Christian.

But......here is a miracle in the making. My two boys fell asleep in Christian's bed. I believe that lasted @ 3 hours and then up to mommy, but hey, it is a start. So this probably ends the saga of the bedtime story......"The Morgans really do have beds!!"

As my mother would say, "I should write a book". She really has started one with Kami and her crazy sleeping when she was a baby! So funny!!

Kami did sooo well at her 3rd grade field day. I have to say as a proud mother, not a bragging mother, but a proud mother she finished every race in first place. No one was counting (except me), and it wasn't a competition (except in my mind) but she did her best and that is really all that matters (first place, baby!!!) Sorry, I get carried away, I guess I live through my daughter with competition sports!! And, I believe Walker has never beat me in raquetball (well maybe once), I beat him on the stairmaster (when we were dating) and I kicked his trash in boot camp. I have to say, I finally believe him after all these years that he really DOES have exercise induced asthma. I could of sworn it was a cat behind me hissing!! I love you Walker!

Brotherly Love

So, I have been thinking lately that I should journal a little bit more with my blogs. My sister in law told me that you can have your blogs printed into books. Seems I am not the greatest with my journal next to my bed, in my night dresser, under lots of "stuff" and probably covered with dust....I thought this would be more of an easy solution. So we will see, hopefully I will write more.
With that said, I have to say Chase said the funniest thing to me the other day. As I was picking up the mail from the mailbox, he so innocently asked, "Mom, did we get any mail from Jesus?" I just wanted to squeeze him and kiss all of over. I explained we talk to Jesus and he talks to us when we pray. I don't think we will be receiving any mail from Jesus.
These pictures are at Kami's field day. The boys were just so cute and playing all over the place. Christian is the much more assertive boy of the two. Chase is very passive, Christian is an instigator. Always pushing Chase's buttons, and when that doesn't work he just nicely walks over and waps him on the head. Like I said, Brotherly Love.

Chase is always taking care of Christian and making sure he is OK. He has become quite the big brother.

He decided to dress up as a pirate. This is the first story that "Miss Smith" reads about in her book, so the pirates all come to life on a big ship!

Yummy desserts after! Christian should have no problem transitioning into kindergarten. I was one of Mrs. Cowan's homeroom moms so I was able to go the classroom quite often. I sometimes wonder if Christian thinks he was in kindergarten! He would always do every activity the others were doing.

Kami and her dad went with the entire 3rd grade to the zoo for their end of the year field trip
They had a wonderful time despite most of it in the rain!!

I love this picture!! It looks almost fake to me, but these monkeys were real and apparently quite active. The monkey on the far left was teasing all of the other monkeys. He kept pulling their tail and hitting them.

In case you don't know, Kami was born on the same day as Jigsaw, the giraffe at the Little Rock Zoo. So when she was a baby/little girl, we would always collect giraffe items. Naturally, when we see giraffes, we must pose for the camera!

Here was our wonderful BBQ with the family!! We had so much food and FUN!

Ashley and I talked the whole time while we made the food, and the men did the meat grillin' (and veggie pattie grillin'). Ashley and I had quite the appetite after just finishing a 6 mile run in 50 minutes!! For anyone of you "Northeasterners", you know that we couldn't of asked for a more beautiful day!! It was perfect!! Such fun memories with family!

There is a story behind this cake....First of all, I was completely ready to make an actual cake that looked like Lightening McQueen and also make cupcakes using Cars cupcake holders. Had everything ready, and then all of a sudden time started creeping up on me. You know how all of a sudden you get that sick gut feeling that you aren't going to have time to do everything you wanted? Well I got that feeling....Thanks Price Chopper for the cake. Funny thing about the car on top. Since we literally have @ 15 Lightening McQueen's, I grabbed the newest looking one, sanatized it and stuck in right on the cake. Christian saw me do it, and he threw a fit!! Apparently, Lightening doesn't belong on cakes, he belongs on roads! So I finally got him to stay on the cake after several attempts and several sanatizes! I think by the time Christian had like 5 other McQueens in his hand, he didn't care about the one on his cake!

Just a little more sprinkles will do the trick!! Christian loves sprinkles!! Wait until I download the picture I took this weekend of his hotdog!! It is really funny...err...gross??? You can decide, but he ate it. More details later...

He loved opening presents!

This present was a "hit" It only took 2 times of hitting the ball/tee right on top, until he figure out to hit it from the side. A baseball player in the making, daddy is so proud!! He loves this gift, in fact I still have it inside b/c he plays with it so much.

Uncle Nanny (Nathan) and Aunt Shirley (Ashley) came up for the weekend. Christian's BD happened to fall on Memorial Weekend so they got to spend the whole weekend with us!! We call Ashley, "Aunt Ashley", but the night they came (arrived @ 10:pm) Chase was either really tired or really excited, actually a combination of both, so he piped out, "When is Uncle Nanny and Aunt Shirley coming???" I thought it was Hilarious!! Too bad Aunt Ashley already has the cute nickname, "Shugee" or else she would have the cute name, "Aunt Shirley"

Kami's 9th Birthday!

Happy Happy Birthday!! Kami wanted a Tier cupcake cake. As you can see that is what I attempted to make without reading the directions! As I am finishing up, I thought, why is this leaning so much? Well as my mother always says to me, "Tiffany, you have to read the directions or it won't turn out" Most times, I can get away with it, a little dash here, a little pour here.......how many eggs was that, oh well, one more won't hurt....but this time, mom you are right, I should of read the directions!! I don't think the girls noticed!!

Kami wanted to have her Birthday Party at home this year because she wanted to "invite like 20 million friends". Thank goodness we don't know 20 million people, but we do know 28 kids. I thought maybe half would show up....all but 26 came!!! We are so glad though because we had a great time.

We had pizza, cake and ice cream, and then played a really fun game of Music Jeopardy. If you look in the bottom right hand corner of this picture below, you can see a big wall. Walker got the projector and made the wall into a theatre screen. It was massive. He used his jeopardy computer program and had the questions all about music...Jonas Bros, Hannah, Miley etc. The girls were split into 2 teams and it got crazy from there!! After the game, they watched Hotel for Dogs on the wall. It was seriously just like a theater. The girls had pillows, blankets etc. So much fun. All of this actually was supposed to be outside but it was pouring rain!!

Heart of Hospice

George (my father in law) received the 2009 Heart of Hospice Award.
They held a very nice banquet at the Troy Country Club honoring him and all that he gives to Hospice. It was a very wonderful night and the kids were very well behaved. The only mishap we had was when Reverend Schweigardt (only New Yorkers have names like that) gave the invocation and Christian started a fit only to knock over the glass full of water all over the table. Beyond that, it was alot of fun!!

I am amazed at how well Christian eats!! He loves fruits and vegetables!! Kami is a great eater too, Chase is a little picky, but hey, we are all healthy!! Despite all the candy we eat (Christian's favorite sign is "candy")

By this time (@2:30) Christian was just about "done". With no nap and a hot day, his patience was running thin. So, I didn't get the best pictures here, but this was really fun. The kids against the parents!! So here is Chase, and to your right (his left) is his best buddy Hayden. Apparently they have been joined at the hip from day one. He is a very sweet boy! The children are pulling with all of their might, and to my surprise, they were quite strong!!

Here is the back side of Walker (like I said if I had 2 more arms I would of had some great shots. Crying baby in one arm, camera in the other, "butt" on another side note, this isn't such a bad shot for me!!) Walker was literally sliding across the gym floor!

I woke up on Mother's Day only to find that my children and husband had been doing some planning and shopping for me! They made me a very sweet card (see below) and bought me some nice gifts.

This is the card they made, on the back they each wrote something to me.

After a wonderful day at church, we then went to grandma and grandpas, had a wonderful Mother Day's Lunch at the club and then did a couple holes of golf.

Mother's Day Tea Party

Kami's classroom had a Mother's Day Tea Party this year. Her class was the only class in the whole 3rd grade to do one so we were very privledged. They greeted us, escorted each mother to her chair, and got us our "tea" (lemonade) and cookies. My oh my, don't those Linens look good!!

Christian is such a stinker....literally. As of lately, when he needs his diaper changed, he runs and hides. Usually it is on one of the couches with his head buried in the cushion because if he can't see me, then clearly I can't see him...

So it was definitely time to change his diaper and so he runs, only this time I can't seem to find him in his normal hiding place. So I am looking and looking and really can't find him. How hard is it to find a 2 year old hiding??? Isn't that the question of the day!!!

So this if the first thing I saw when I finally found him. Curled up under the bench!! I just had to laugh (and grab the camera!!) Since then, his hiding places have started to become more unique!! Like I said, What a stinker!!! I guess my next option would be to just follow my nose!

The boys favorite thing to do....eat popsicles!! Christian goes straight to Grandma's freezer and pulls with all his might (not quite strong enough) to get a popsicle. However, Christian has learned to only eat half a popsicle, throw it away and go get another.

Dog Sitting

Let me begin by telling you that my two boys are deathly afraid of dogs, especially Chase. They have never been attacked to my knowledge (and I know everything), they are just scared. So when I was asked to dog sit for 9 days, needless to say, Chase and DADDY were not happy with me accepting. Daddy isn't afraid, he just doesn't want our house smelling like dog.
So, after the first night of Christian crying for hours (this is going to be a long 9 days....) he decided that Gabe isn't so bad after all. He also discovered that Gabe really likes carrots.

Hugs!! Gabe is a very patient dog, although, my children were very gentle with him. We told the kids this was their test. If they helped walk the dog, pick up poop, play with the dog, then we would get one. Well they surpassed all of our expectations!! Kami even picked up poop, and Chase took him for a walk to go poop!! Chase has made it very clear that we are now allowed to get a dog only if it is like Gabe. Gabe is @ 12 years old, he has pretty bad arthritis and is an epileptic dog. He is very very calm and non threatening!! Anyway, so when the owners came to get the dog, we were all crying. It is amazing how quicky one gets attached.

Take me out to the.....living room

So, I come home from church on Tuesday night, only to find my living room has been turned into a Red Sox baseball field. Now, you must know we LOVE the Yankees!! We love going to their games, we love chanting, "let's go Yankees" all through the house, we love watching them on tv. However, last week we encountered a problem.....Chase was placed on the Boston Red Sox tee ball team this year! So now our chants are, "lets go Yankees" and "let's go Red Sox" (mommy and Chase sing Red Sox, sis and daddy sing yankees...it gets pretty loud...) nonetheless, we face our challenge and cheer for the Boston Red Sox (this season only and only when Chase is in the room!)

Just as Kami was (and is) Christian has inherited the "dirty look". When Kami was a baby, if anyone would say hi to her that she didn't know, she would get the "Look". The gene seemed to skip Chase, but has proudly found fame with Christian. I find him giving the "look" not only to adults, but to his friends. It is so funny!!

Oddly enough, he always does it during prayers. I think when you naturally bow your head to pray, it reminds him of bowing his head getting ready to scowl his eyebrows, and stare someone down!!

What a nut!!

Walker and I are about to relive the good ole days.....we are going to boogie at the Morgan Linen Christmas Party!! It's the first time I left Christian with a babysitter and he did wonderful!! Walker and I had so much fun!! All the ladies kept taking him away from me on the dance floor. They were impressed that a white boy could dance like that! He hit the floor, next thing you know, Walker got low, low, low, low, low, low, low.....if I was any good at this blog stuff, I would download that song and play it!!

We really do have beds!!

So let me explain, we really do have beds in our house we just don't like to sleep in them.
Let me take that back, we only like to sleep in mommy and daddy's bed!! Otherwise, anywhere else will do!

Christian feel asleep actually in my arms because I couldn't put him in my bed b/c Chase was in there and I didn't want him to roll on Christian. Why wasn't Chase in his bed? Because only at the Morgans home to we believe in cramming all the kids in one bed so the parents can't sleep!

So Christian is sleeping on the chair so Walker and I can watch Grays Anatomy with out falling asleep.

Kami here is upset that we won't let her stay up and watch American Idol. So instead of going to sleep in her bed, she camps out with Snoopy outside of her door. At least she can hear the contestants singing!! Walker and I thought she was in bed!

Last but not least, poor Chase. After a fun, exhausting night of watching movies in the theatre room, he just can't possibly make it up one more flight of stairs, so he parks right in the middle. I went up right before him and thought he was still down with daddy. Walker discovered him here !!

So, yes we do have beds here at the Morgan household. We will just have them for our grandkids, because our kids just won't use them One morning if I am smart and can remember I will share with you what my bedroom looks like at 6:00 a.m.

I love this picture of the boys!! Their faces so much about their personalities!!

This is the Mt Everest roller coaster at Animal Kingdom...one of Kami's favorites!! Chase would have absolutely nothing to do with it!! Walker really wanted Chase to ride so he came up with a very devious plan!! Kami needed to be walked to the front of the line in case she got "lost", and heaven forbid any strangers talk to her...so Chase and daddy had to walk her up. Chase found out very quickly that once you are at the front there is no turning back..(so daddy says). Poor Chase, my very cautious child, had to ride the horrifying rollar coaster and to make matters worse....he is in the very front row!!!! He survived and rode 4 more times.....willingly!!! What a champ!! Hooray Chase!! (Kami is behind Walker)

Hot Grandma!

"Donkay", as Shrek says, was fascinated with grandma taking our picture. His words were, and I qoute, "She is a fine lookin' grandma, she is sexy!" Chase, is again, MIA. He wanted nothing to do with Shrek or the flirtatious donkey. He was perfectly fine sitting in the stroller!!

This is right outside of our hotel. The kids had alot of fun walking around, jumping on mopeds and chasing the birds!!

Curious Morgans

This was Curious George's theme park. The kids had a "ball" there. There was a huge room, the size of a gymnasium, 2 stories high, where balls were going everywhere!! Chase probably had the most fun here, that is why he is no where to be found!!

The kids had a so much fun going down this slide. It was a harmonical slide. Everytime you went down it, it sounded like you were blowing into a harmonica!

Our Winter Vacation

These first four pictures are supposed to be the next four pictures after the airplane. I need to buy blogging for dummies. I can't figure this out!!! Anyway, we are at the water taxi anxiously awaiting to start the fun day!! Kami is having a great time posing, while mommy is walking away from another child "posing", aka....throwing a staged fit...... on the ground!!

In late January, we all packed up........despite EVERYONE throwing up......and took a nice warm vacation to Orlando Florida. We were able to go to Disney World, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure! We have decided we want to be snowbirds.....live in Florida for the winter and New York for the summer! Anyone care to join? I chose to stay away from the camera on our departure day. I believe I had turned a couple of shades of green by the time we were on the airplane. I was the last to get sick....except for grandma. Her adventure started 2 days later!

A crazy winter

Here are some pix of the ice storm we had about a month ago. It looked like a war zone. I couldn't even leave my neighborhood b/c all of the roads were either blocked off by police or blocked off by trees. Since then we have had 2 snow storms and one more ice storm (not as bad). I believe it is safe to say we are going to have a crazy winter!! These pix were taken a day after, so actually alot had melted. Tall trees were so heavy with ice their limbs were touching the ground! Mother Nature is amazing.

I am sure I speak for alot of moms out there, sometimes you look at your children and wonder how you are so blessed to be their mother/father. I love my family!!!

If you look closely behind this picture of the family, it is Walker's parents home. The scenery is breathe taking.

Today we went to the club and took our annual fall pictures!! It was so much fun, however we had a hard time getting all the kids to smile at once!! Walker loves to take pictures of the children. I would say it is one of his favorite past times.
